Finding Missing Terms GCSE Maths
Missing term questions ask you to work out numbers that have been left out of a sequence.
Example
In 6, 10, __, 18, the sequence increases by 4 each time, so the missing term is 14.
Exam tip: Check the terms before and after the missing value to confirm your answer.
Common mistake: Students sometimes find a pattern from one side only and forget to check the rest of the sequence.
